Interpreting
Interpreting

An interpreter is one who translates orally for the benefit of two or more parties speaking different languages. A good interpreter does far more than merely translate the spoken word. He or she will get to the very heart of what is being said in one language and will express it fluently in a second language with the nuances and feeling of the original.
With access to over 2,000 interpreters, Language Link UK has little difficulty in finding people who speak the required combination of languages. But the language is not the only consideration. It is equally important that the interpreter understands the subject matter - whether it's accountancy, engineering, law, medicine, or IT. Every profession or industrial sector has its own specialised terminology and, in order to be really effective, the interpreter must have a good knowledge of the subject being discussed.
