CONSECUTIVE INTERPRETING is ideally used for single language set speeches being delivered to an audience. Interpretation can be a paragraph-by-paragraph procedure or, if preferred, an entire speech can be reproduced when the person delivering it has finished speaking. No special equipment or extra space is required but it should be noted that the immediacy of a presentation may suffer, especially if more than one target language is involved. One translator works into one language.
